Not sure which path to choose after graduation? Don't know where to go for engineering experience, how to build a résumé, or what to anticipate during a job interview.

Students and graduates at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra may get career counselling to help them explore their possibilities, better understand their talents, and prepare for the labour market.

My name is Barbara Belanová, and I am in charge of career counselling for students and graduates at SPU in Nitra. Prior to joining the institution, I worked as a personnel consultant at a recruiting agency for five years, where I was responsible for staff selection, communication with employers, and career counselling for job seekers. This experience now informs my work with students, allowing me to give them with practical and realistic guidance based on current labour market needs.

You can seek career counseling, for example, if:
– you are unsure about what direction you want to take after school,
– you feel that you are not fully utilizing your potential,
– you are looking for an engineering internship, work placement, or your first job,
– you need help preparing your resume, cover letter, or LinkedIn profile,
– you want to be better prepared for a job interview or selection process.

How Career Counselling Works

Individual consultations are conducted (in person or online). During the sessions, we concentrate on your abilities, interests, and objectives so that we can work together to develop a solution that makes sense to you and moves you ahead. The sessions take place in a secure and casual setting, with no judgement or pressure. Students at SPU get free career counselling.
